Founder Emily Oberg

The Complex editor and KITH designer in the past, Emily Oberg created Sporty & Rich in 2015. S&R started as a hobby: with a beautiful Instagram account about the 1990s and sports, and even a print magazine. Oberg did not set out to launch a clothing brand, but eventually came up with a formula for the perfect lifestyle for the modern generation of girls.


Her strength lies in the visual concept. The Sporty & Rich's aesthetics is based on Oberg's love for the past. Among the sources of inspiration are Claudia Schiffer, French Elle of the 1980s and Irving Penn. Oberg creates a streetwear for every day, using retro colors and nostalgic graphics. Sporty & Rich t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants are made in Los Angeles.
