Women's Readymade
Yuta Hosokawa is a founder of Readymade, a Japanese brand where he also is a leading designer. Aficionado of upcycling, he reworks second-hand garments and materials into something completely different. Hosokawa creates jackets, bag and pants now seen on Jay-Z and Travis Scott using surplus military equipment: old tents, uniform. Every item is fully hand-made, with original vintage patches and details. They say it is being created in a tailor shop that usually makes garments for the Japanese Emperor. The brand was initially a pure experiment in 2013 but after collaborations with Fear of God and Don C, Hosokawa finally made it to the prestigious Hypebeast-100 list for ‘Innovators from all realms of creativity’. More than narrow distribution is a feature of the brand: it is present in less than 100 stores around the world, SV77 proudly stands among them.
