Comme des Garçons is a Japanese fashion label headed by Rei Kawakubo, who owns the company with her husband Adrian Joffe. In 1981 CDG along with
Yohji Yamamoto stirred up Paris Fashion Week, reshaping European clothing and footwear design concepts. Dominating deconstruction and monochrome spectrum, asymmetrical cuts, usage of vintage fabrics draw a wide response. Ever since that year, the brand is a pillar of avant-garde fashion and its head, Rei Kawakubo neglects the interviews and public appearances, while continuing her work in the workshop in Tokyo's Aoyama or in the office in Paris.
