Yves Salomon is a family enterprise that goes back as far as four generations of Salomons. They entered the retail in the 1920s when they started manufacturing leather and furs. Throughout the century one could observe Dior, Prada and Revillon among the brand's customers. The descendant of the founder, Yves Salomon, took the helm at 1972 and saw potential in his own line of clothing launched rather than supplying others with the material. Time has proven he was right — it is now one of the most successful contemporary fur brands, selling at its own stores in Aspen, Paris, New York, Saint-Tropez and Moscow. When it comes to furs treatment, Yves Salomon is known for its innovative techniques that are constantly honed in its Research and Development department and for using them not only in classic fur coats but for parkas as well — the latter made it popular on the US market.
