The Golem was created by Bunka Fashion College graduate Shinsaku Maehama. Possessing an exceptional talent he won an educational grant in Paris. Later on Shinsaku worked with Kenzo, Yohji Yamamoto and Volga Volga. His own brand appeared in 2004 with a symbolic name.
