Women's Blackyoto
The person behind Blackyoto is Jeremy McAlpine, a manager who previously developed global strategies for Y-3, the love child of adidas and Yohji Yamamoto. It's a line of men’s wear and women’s wear consisting entirely of vintage pieces collected all over Europe and sent to be dyed black at Kyoto Montsuki, a century-old Japanese company dedicated to this process. Kyoto Montsuki uses their signature shinkuro process, an environmentally sound black oxide dyeing method they’ve perfected over decades: each garment is dyed at least twice in extremely high temperatures.
