By Walid was founded by Walid al Damirji, ex-creative director of English brand Joseph and co-owner of London bakery and cake-shop Cocomaya. By Walid collections are made in a small atelier situated on the place of the 19th century house with stable. By Walid is a unique wear handmade from antique fabrics of different countries. Walid uses ancient leather and fur, rare vintage textile that was bought by him during auctions and in consignment shops: oriental silk, French cotton, vintage linen and silk tulle. High quality materials used for By Walid are often aged more then 200 years. Atelier`s craftsman use traditional techniques of English weaving and hand embroidery in work with every item.
